The Lyndhurst Police Foundation was established with the intent to raise monies for the creation of community programs which build upon police-community relationships in the City of Lyndhurst. The Lyndhurst Police Foundation Scholarship is one of these programs and our goal is to financially assist current students from Brush High School and those of our neighboring high schools, in their quest to achieve further education in a field of public service. This award is available to graduating seniors who currently attend Brush High School, Mayfield High School, Richmond Heights High School, and/or has a parent/guardian who is a member, in good standing of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 57

Scholarship Awards
  • $1,000.00 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior from Brush High School
  • $500.00 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior from Mayfield High School
  • $500.00 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior from Richmond Heights High School
  • $500.00 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior who has a parent/guardian that is a member, in good standing of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 57

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

• Current high school senior (12th grade), Class of 2024
• Pursuing a 2-year degree, 4-year degree or attend a trade school
• 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA
• Student of Brush High School, Richmond Heights High School, Mayfield High School or your parent/guardian is a member, in good standing with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 57

SELECTION of RECIPIENTS

Recipients are to be judged by their academic performance, the quality and content of their written essay and their expressed intention of attaining a degree or pursue a career focused in public service. A short interview may be required of finalists for the scholarship award.
